Android Q, the newest and much-anticipated version of Android which is expected to be rolled out in May this year is expected to bring in some revolutionary new features. The latest OS as per industry sources will pack the following features-:
Support For Foldable Devices
Android Q is highly expected to bring in support for foldable smart devices. This has already been displayed by Dave Burke, VP, Engineering, Android at an event which took place on the same day when Samsung showcased its foldable device.
Google is also expected to roll out new permission which will enable applications running in the background to gain access to a user’s location. This feature is majorly demanded by Android users for location tracking purposes.
Recognition of Physical Activity
The new OS will auto recognise when you engage in physical activity. While the feature already exists in Google Play Services, the upcoming rollout will add it to the core of Android Features.
The new Operating System is also expected to feature a screen recording menu which will enable the users to record video on the screen. Smartphone users are also expected to record a voiceover for the clip which they capture.
Another feature which is garnering active conversations is that of a privacy chip which may appear at the bottom of the screen to notify users whether an application is recording location, data, voice and also possibly offer shortcuts to stop it.
